Additionally, on winning a tender, the company concerned must complete the project within the designated time period.   • Evaluate carefully the documentations required to bid for a particular tender. If you do not submit the required documents, the bid will be cancelled.
  • Check the cost of the project carefully. Ensure that the price fixed for the particular project is sustainable, by your firm. If you are unable to make a profit, then it is advisable that you do not bid for the tender.
  • Always bid for projects, which are in suitable locations. Unless you are bidding for international tenders, it is advisable that you bid for projects, which are conveniently located.
  • While bidding for construction related tenders, you may have to submit a Bill of Quantities (BOQs). The BOQ should provide adetailed breakdown of the cost of individual activities carried required to be carried out, in order to complete the project.
